YES! At Cakes 'n Things, we LOVE cakes and think everyone should be able to afford one. That's why we have created a budget friendly section that the whole family can enjoy!

Please tell us what cake you'd like us to make (and provide any inspiration pics if not choosing from our website or Instagram), date required, and number of serves (coffee or dessert). We will get back to you with a quote and, if accepted, colours, flavours, etc. will be discussed through further emails. 

Purchase online through our store on selected products only.

If ordering online, a credit card is required for payment in full. There is a small surcharge with credit card payments. 

If ordering via email, you can pay with cash or bank transfer.

A deposit is required to book your cake. For cakes under $200, a deposit of 20% is required. Any cakes above $200 require a 50% deposit.

Payment of balance via bank transfer is required 7 days before collection, or you can pay the balance in cash upon pickup. If paying cash, please take the time to have the correct amount ready.Description text goes here

Custom cakes - it would be great to have 2-3 weeks notice, however we can make within as little as a week only if we have availability.

Budget friendly line - we need min. 2 days notice.

Cupcakes - basic or edible image - min. 2 days notice. Custom decorated cupcakes - min. 1 week notice. 

Cookies - basic or edible image - min. 2 days notice. Custom decorated cookies - min. 1 week notice. 

Wedding cakes - min. 4 weeks notice. 

If you get stuck, please call us, we may be able to help. 

*Coffee - 1 inch x 1 inch x height of the cake (approx 3 ½ - 4 inches)

*Dessert - 1 inch x 2 inch x height of the cake (approx 3 ½ - 4 inches) 

*Tall cakes will generally serve more as you can cut the tall slice in half to get 2 slices. 

*Please note that these serving sizes relate to custom cakes in round or square.  

NO! Even though the decorations are made out of edible elements such as gumpaste, and fondant, they should not be eaten. These decorations can contain wires, toothpicks, & styrofoam which are a choking hazard.

While we appreciate your enthusiasm to come by, we are a small operation and cannot accommodate walk-in traffic. Almost all orders can be organised via email and phone. Only under extenuating circumstances, i.e. wedding cake consult, will we make an appointment with you. 

Collection - Yes, you can collect your cake. As most cakes are required for the weekend, I usually allow for a Friday evening and Saturday morning collection window. This will be confirmed with you via email when you place your order. 

As we rent space in a commercial kitchen 2 - 3 days/week to bake and decorate, cakes will be available for collection in the evenings during the week from my residence when other people will be around. 

For cakes required Monday-Thursday, collection times will be confirmed via email when you place your order.

No collections available on Sundays. 

Delivery - As we are a small operation, it is very hard to leave and deliver a cake when we are working on your cakes. Maybe you can consider asking a friend or relative to collect that may be close by, or there are car services that specialise in cake delivery. 

The only exception for our delivery policy is for wedding cakes which can be delivered to the venue when required. 

When you get your cake home, keep it in a cool place, NEVER in the fridge. After you have cut it, you can wrap leftovers in cling wrap and then place in the fridge, or you can pre-slice, wrap in cling wrap and freeze. 

We understand that life happens. Please let us know as soon as you can and we will try to accommodate you. We can't guarantee a full refund if we have already bought/made decorations and/or baked your cake.

Plain - with buttercream swirl - $3.50 each.

Toy rings - with buttercream swirl - $4.00 each - choose from soccer ball, racing car, balloon, safari animals, transport vehicles, princess, butterflies, hearts, and more. 

Edible image on fondant disc - with buttercream swirl - $4.50 each.

Custom decorations - from $5.00 each - you will need a quote.

Decorate your own - plain cupcake, no decoration or buttercream - $3.00 each. 

All cupcake options have a minimum order of 12. 

Cookies - vanilla flavour

Edible image on fondant disc - $4.00 each. Packed in individual bag - $4.50 each.

Fondant decorated - like the piggy, chick, horse in the cookie gallery - $5.00 each. Packed in individual bag - $5.50.

Custom decorations - from $6.00 each - you will need a quote. 

Decorate your own - plain cookie, no decoration - $1.80 each

All cookies packed in individual bags will incur an additional fee of $0.50. 

All cookie options have a minimum order of 20.
